The HVO Volunteer Experience: Sharing Your Hematology Expertise Globally

Program: Special-Interest Sessions
Sunday, December 6, 2015: 7:00 PM-8:00 PM
W305 (Orange County Convention Center)
ASH and its partner organization, Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO), are looking for hematologists with a passion for teaching and training who want to broaden their horizons through a short-term volunteer experience in a low-resource setting outside of North America. Volunteers through this program spend up to four weeks at one of the current sites in Cambodia, Tanzania, or Uganda to provide consultation in the clinics and laboratories as well as lectures in the classrooms. Come join past volunteers, site program directors, and personnel from the volunteer sites to learn more about this unique opportunity and the specific impact you can have as a hematology volunteer.
