Women with hematologic conditions can face unique challenges during pregnancy. Understanding pathophysiology of pregnancy and associated hematologic changes is paramount in optimal management of patients with bleeding and coagulation disorders, sickle cell disease and thrombotic microangiopathies associated with pregnancy. This workshop will focus on recent insights on the role that the distinctive biology of pregnancy plays on development, diagnosis, clinical course, and treatment of hematologic disorders. The workshop’s interactive format will feature brief didactic presentations from speakers on key topics, followed by question and answer session.
